My excitement for the evening - coming home, going to gather eggs and discovering a raccoon as big as my puggle dog climbing a shelf in the shed to go after my chickens.  I started screaming to get the attention of someone in the house, grabbed a long-handled garden implement and started whacking the thing.  David stepped outside, I hollered what was happening and moments later James was there with his gun.  It is now dead and over the fence.  The girls have a new admiration for their dad who is now cleaning his pistol.
