Mine did fine with the snow storm a few weeks ago in Georgia, but it wasn't
quite that cold. Maybe hot water bottles. We put a couple of bales of wheat
straw in our chick house when the weather get like what you are talking about.
They spread it around and snuggle down in it. Give them warm oatmeal, some corn
at night (it builds internal heat) and make sure they have lots of fresh water.
I wish you well. Susan

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Need advice
Any of you folks in Minn, N. Dak., Wisc. or S. Oz -
May be without power for a few days with 0 to -5 degrees due to ice storm and
snow.
Have 30 older chickens and about 30 - 9-week old, fully feathered pullets.
