Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: OT: Wisconsin's 200 cows deaths - update

I am dependent on society to provide natural gas for heat, grow and process part of my food, electricity, and am happy with the arrangement.  My city water is weird tasting but works great for everything else.  I am grateful for what I have and am past the point in my life where I would even try to be self sufficient again.  My firewood was given away to those in need this winter.  I will use a gas powered generator to keep my chicks and self warm in the event of a power outage and am quite comfortable with it. In fact I have been quite happy with the extra heat given off by my laptop.  It's been very soothing on the hand sized welts from the 2x's a day lovenox shots. Cathryn who has slept off and on all day, and lazily played on the computer.

I heat exclusively with wood...and will one day soon be driving my cars

on it too...and making electricity with it...but that is another list.
