Interesting. They don't eat the peel though, right? I use 4+ lemons a day, but my juicer pretty much gets all the juice and pulp. What About seeds/pits? would it be OK to feed them those?
Between recycling and feeding scraps to the chickens and horses, I'm not making any kitchen compost anymore! All I've got is lemon rinds.

My 3 mo old chicks I am babysitting love lemon. I've been giving them the lemon out of my baked fish dinners. Not only do they love the squeezed lemon in their water but they grabbed the 1/8 of a lemon sized slice out of the water dish and ate all the lemon fruit off the peel. Tonight they had baked potato. For a water treat they enjoyed Fuze Refresh. I grabbed it on accident instead of my sugar free fuze and fed it to my chicks. LOL! Cathryn
