Jewel, The children's vitamins with minerals is used for illness and emergencies. Poultry vitamins with minerals would probably be better.  Once the Emergen-C is done fizzing it should be fine.  I'd dilute it to one pack per half gallon. Do you have a chicken under the weather? Cath

Hey Guys,

I'm wondering if the vitamin packets that you mix with water from Emergen-C would be safe for chickens to have in their water.  They seem to be a great deal better ingredient wise than the childrens vitamins.  The packets fizz when mixed with water, so that worries me.
