cathryn, there are alot around here. ive seen bear and panther and alot of bobcats around here. most people dont know that st augustine has a wild animal refuge, they take in wild animals that people try to make as pets. if you listen while out around cr 208 and pacetti rd you can hear them growling. it has scared some of us with farm animals bc there was a tiger that got out a few yrs ago. i have an alligator that is near my house, almost 1/4 mile away but they love to travel for food and more water. we also have had huge 12 ft snakes caught about 1/5 mile away in someones back yard. we may have some predators but there are others that we have that we have to keep a good eye out for.
ruth what part of fl do you live in?

Ruth, Wow!!! Your predators give new meaning to the word predator! Flat out scary. I didn't even realize that Florida had enough room left to have panthers and bears running around. double .
