[CHICKENS-101] Re: chick broke leg?

I had an Americauna with a leg break that sounds similar. She was about 5 weeks old. She would drag her toes and stand on them. I was worried that she would do more damage to her foot. We kept her alone for about 6 weeks and each week she looked a lot better. When she started scratching in the litter again we put her back out with the others. (Of course by that time the other chickens rejected her and almost pecked her to death. It has taken me 4 months but they are finally in the pen together again and getting along.)
