When potato peels are composted back to soil, chemical reactions take place that the break the peels down into the same chemicals and matter that the potatoes grew from. Cathryn

I am so sorry for your loss.  I hear bad things about potato peels as well - makes me wonder if they are bad to add to compost that chickens may end up touching or ingesting.
