Being on the short for money too Deb, I do try to decide which of the organic things are really better than normal raised. I try to buy fruits and veggies that are produced with the least amount of pesticide residue, do buy organic milk and I drink lots of milk, don't buy red meat very often and buy chicken that has NO additives or hormones added. No water added either. Thank goodness we have quite a few organic dairy farms and can buy chicken that isn't altered in any way.
It is getting harder and harder to eat healthy.
Living in the Pacific NW is almost impossible to grow your own crops or fruit other than apples. This year has been awful and is now in the 60s during the day and as low as the 40s already at night. We are calling this the year of the green tomato!
