I think you are correct about this. Even a small barn/coop/run or whatever
where there are lots of chickens get dirty and have to be cleaned on a regular
basis, not occasionally. David cleaned the old hay out of the big run yesterday
and threw a new bale of hay in and they went nuts. Only took a couple of hours
for the chickens to spread it out and play in it. Any chicken is suseptable to
any disease if not properly taken care of on a regular basis.

BTW, we have a bunch of baby aracaunas and a cochin baby yesterday after the
Chicks for Charity event. Leftovers! Had great fun at the event. Susan
