Re: [CHICKENS-101] Busy day today .....

I'm thinking you could put a little Dawn on those belly feathers.  Dawn is great at stain removing, in fact that is our laundry stain fighter of choice.

I'd wash the duck with the baby shampoo, then put Dawn just on the areas with stains and wrap him in a wet towel for 10 minutes.  Watch TV with him on your lap.  Then rinse him really well as the Dawn would be very drying to his skin.

Best of luck at your fair.

Should have been done yesterday but my daughter was at a graduation part and I was at a baby shower ...   we have 13 chickens and a duck to wash to get ready to go to Fair tomorrow!  Washing chickens is always so much fun <insert sarcastic laugh here>.

Actually the chickens aren't bad ... it's the duck that is worrying me lol!  He's a Muscovy and quite large.  He doesn't swim on a daily basis, even tho the baby pool is available for him.  So his belly feathers are quite stained (grass, mud, poo).  I use baby shampoo for the chickens and right now that's pretty much all I have available for Goose (the duck) but I'm not sure it'll be enough to get those feathers back to white.
Any suggestions?
