Cornish crosses are a white cornish cock over a white rock hen. Now, there was some Assil in the cornish but not enough to carry the "fight to the death" gene.The cornish cross bird is a commerical bird and the powers that be wouldn't breed a meat bird that is going to kill each other. No money in that and cornish crosses are all about money. I have pure oriental game birds and yes, they fight even as tinies but I have never had a face ripped off.I have some beautiful Shamo/black austrolpe crosses that are 3/4 grown and I have have one serious sparring match. Sent one to the butcher and all is quiet again. Carolyn
