[CHICKENS-101] Re: Problem with chicks leg...

 

Hi Amanda,
Get some paper tape, so it won't stick too much, bring his leg up underneath him & fold it like he would if he were sleeping on it. Take the tape & tape his leg to his body in that position but make sure he has plenty of wing & good leg room. Leave it on him for at least 4 or 5 days. I had a chick that came in with a broken leg. I did the same thing for him & he walks great now. For the first couple of days you will want to help him to his water & food but he'll get use to it & start hoping on his good leg. Hopefully this will work as good for you as it did for me.
