| Well, the 2 red birds with large dark red combs and wattles are "well up on leg". They are the largest birds in the group of 5 reds. Cockerels will have longer legs. Their crests will have streamers. Only the males have streamers in their crests, this trait is unique to silkie males. I have had nonbearded silkie pullets with big ugly combs and large wattles. Are they crowing yet? Spent yesterday and today in a fib; now I have an appt for an electrocardiogram, my heart is behaving like it should.
