pretty much just need chick starter feed, a heat source (to keep them at about 95-100 degrees the first week), and a water source that they can't drown in (chickens are stupid). If the chicks haven't been vaccinated for Coccidiosis (sp?) you can use a medicated chick feed (can't feed the medicated feed and have the chicks vaccinated).
Hello all Please help us out as we have never raise any chick before. ... We have just ordered 10 buff orpington chicks will be here on the 5 th. we where told that the chick will be about 2 days old what do we all need to get , So that they will grow up and not get sick... Like in Food , Medicine , supply , we have the box and light for them to live in until they get older to go outside.... we have the coop waiting for them .
