Re: [CHICKENS-101] Photos of Petals and new chicks

We love her too Susan.  For a dog we knew nothing about before bringing her home, it's been wonderful.  I know she would chase a chicken that ran from her though, as she has chased the neighbor cat and random squirrels.  She goes in the Silkie yard and they just keep on doing whatever they were.  The flighty Lakenvelders she can't get to, and Mr. Basketball would take her on like gangbusters I'm sure.  She wouldn't bother ANY chickens after that!

I have never seen a dog herd chickens, that would be a delightful experience.

Just love Petals the guard dog.   When Yeti (GP) lays down in front of the new chicks you can't see anything but dog.  He just looks and slowly walks away!  Yeti is going to a friends farm in the morning.  The doc said, "no walking or playing with the dog".  He weighs 110 #'s and thinks he is a lap dog!  Doesn't seem to know there are chickens around unless he thinks it's bed time and herds them into the pen. Susan
