I'm so glad the baby is a little stronger. Have you considered doing the pocket/bra baby thing with it? I've heard good things about carrying weak babies close to you, for warmth and nuturing :-)

I tried leaving eggs under the 2 older girls. They are still young though and they just didn't do a good job. I'll let them try again when they are older. The pullets have only been laying a few weeks. Their first babies are due in mid-May. Let's see if I can attach a pic of the new babies, with a Black Copper Marans chicks born the next day for size comparison :-)

My chick is stronger this morning and peeping like crazy at me when I pick it up. I am giving sugar water and this morning mixed up some chick feed in the same water and gave him a couple of drops. It isn't walking around yet but is pretty active in my hand and can stand up now. Very pretty coloring so far on this one so I hope it develops into something different than what I already have. I am happy it is doing better but time will tell.
Wish I could try some of your eggs but shipping this far has a very detrimental effect on the eggs apparently.
I like my Genesis 1588 too.
