Jane, that's a great improvement over many commercial foods, but it does take some work and research to get it to where it's a completely balanced diet for Jack. A diet of meat and rice will be deficient in some of the nutrients that are needed to keep him healthy. This will be notably low in calcium, and unbalanced in other ways. There are several ways to "home cook" for your dog, and if you'd like, I could send you some links off list.
