Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: OT Chasing chickens .......

I'm a Wedding Officiant, and often am asked to perform marriages in people's homes.  Walked into one place and there, lounging along the back of the sofa, was a big snake.  Not that big, only about 6 feet.

I couldn't resist!  There I was in my ministerial robe doing the 'Snake Handler' thing while DH snapped pictures!  I made the snakes owner hang onto one part of him 'cause I could just imagine him taking a quick turn around my neck!

Three little poodles were running around and I asked if snakie had ever gone after them.  They said they only let him out after being fed, and that yes, he'd been fed that day.  Phew!

I miss those 'unique' New Mexico weddings.

Years ago, I had snakes, but king snakes, nothing so big as to eat my
kids or cats. I was visiting with a guy who had a 15 ft python for
sale. Someone came to get it, had a big wicker basket for it, but it
took the 3 of us to wrestle it into the basket. My friend told me I
couldn't have done it myself because (at the time) I weighed 130, and
I barely clear 5 ft. I was meal sized.

Just throwing out the little bit I know about pythons.
