Oh dear, I'm afraid I'd have been saying "Sic 'em chickens".  I'm so dang territorial about animals that don't belong to me don't belong on my property.  I always thought Les Nessman's duct tape on the floor around his desk was a GOOD thing.

I had two of my Game hens nest next to each other and hatch at the same time.  They shared the 20 or so chicks.  It was a hoot watching them when they both took out after a tomcat one day.  One mad Game hen mother is pretty awesome by herself.  Poor cat!  I thought I was going to have to rescue him for a while but before I could get there he made it up a tree out of reach.
