Re: [CHICKENS-101] Anita B.

Georgia, my hubby was working four eights, and traveling occasionally before he went to five eights and more traveling.  Dan is actually happier with making flutes and whistles, but making money on that depends on sales of his instruments, and the day job is more "reliable."  Best wishes for your home business endeavors.

Thank you for your response, Anita.

Was your hubby working 4 10's and had to go to a regular workweek?  We moved to Alabama when my DH switched from being a computer programmer to aviation mechanic.  During his schooling I said he aspired to be the world's oldest living airplane mechanic.  Well, now he is one and has discovered it's no cake walk.

I've been thinking of what I can do from home that would be fun and still bring in an income without expenses sinking me.  Maybe I'll put out a "Chickens for Sale" sign!  Over on the BYC forum is someone who designs logos, which I could use to make a sign.  I've also been noodling around various craft ideas but so far I haven't come up with a noodle worth cooking, LOL.

My hubby went from four to five days, plus traveling.  His company went through a big shake up this year in administration.  He has had to work harder with his whistle and flute making he does on the side.

On the other hand, I have not worked outside the home in six years, but  am trying to get a home business together.  The creative part isn't too hard, but setting up the business and the administrative things, I am having a hard time with getting in order.  It is happening, though, but not overnight.

Right now, the health is questionable, but getting better.  I know what you mean about the hands giving out.  I went through a spell where my hands were hurting quite badly.  Getting that checked out.
