How to raise Backyard Chickens: [CHICKENS-101] Yea, all my chickens are in for the night!

Really, this is the first time I won't have to go out after dark with a flashlight hoping I don't trip on a tree root! It's also the first night all 6 chickens in the Compu-coop have gone in on their own. No more removing them from the top and sticking them inside. Yippee Skippee!

The Silkies on the other hand I had to 'round up'. They were still out, running around and pecking. Thought I had them all in and did a head count. Missing a Red. He/she was way over by the gate, eating ants. I thought ants went in before dark too? Maybe it was just pecking at the soft ant dirt.

I bought a 2nd 'Compu-coop' from Sam's on Wed. Those are the greatest little mini-coops. They hold a lot of chickens and for $40. I couldn't get anything better. The waterers I use are $36.!

Wowza, I just looked my composter up on the net. It's called a Soil Saver Classic and it is listed for $108. Maybe I should buy 2 more. Or 3!
