[CHICKENS-101] Duck feed question

Had a feed question about our ducks that we have we are wondering what feed is the best to give to ducks.  I was told by my local feed store that we could just give laying feed.  Is this good enough for them currently we have 5 ducklings in the brooder which for them we are using non medicated chick starter and also a Manna Pro Gamebird/Showbird feed mixed together.  Is it ok to use the laying feed for our older ducks or is there a special duck feed we should be feeding them also is it ok to feed the crumbles or is the pellets the best form.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

I recall a comment my mom said once when someone mentioned horse expenses. Her wise retort was "I can use the money for horses now and keep the kids active and out of trouble, or I can use it later on therapy or anti-drug dependency programs. I chose horses"

[CHICKENS-101] Re: All purpose feed? does it exist

Around my area; it's called "All Stock" blended for use with all stock animals; it's a sweet feed & my chickens love it when I buy a bag....

It's a good thing I don't use Purina exclusively and also tend to free range. ;) Angelique

There is a feed called Flock Raiser that is supposed to be good for all of them. I like it as it has a higher protein level and is supposed to be good for layers too. Angelique

She better remember to take pic's or someone better .... not to would be a serious violation of list etiquette as well as being very disappointing :-(

We had a wonderful time with Susan, David, Tommy, and Isabella.  Susan spoiled us. :)  She also drove us to Grandpa Jack's and now I have 6 new seramas.  Five gorgeous cockerels and one pullet.  One of the cockerels has the silkie gene.  Susan's chickens are set up really neat;reminds me of gardens with decorations that just happen to lay eggs.  Beautiful home and family!!  Cath
