| I did that one time, back in the 70's. But I did not dismantle the pallets or skids, I used them as they were. Skids are solid anyway, and I added extra boards to the pallets. It was a fine chicken coop. Georgia --- On Thu, 4/1/10, Rita <ritabohn2001@

Hi Faith, this dude sounds like a throw back to something out of Jurassic Park. Does it growl? I mean even an RIR would think twice before challenging a pitbull cross. Killing cones do make life a little easier. A gallon milk jug with the bottom cut off nailed to the side of the barn. You might have to make the opening a bit large for the head but with a sharp knife it's all over pretty quick.

> 1. Do Turken roosters crow? Got one as a curiousity (ugly evil looking thing)and it's got all the rooster behaviours but no crow. Stunted spurs and a huge giggley wattle. No Crow. It's hateful to others and aggressive towards my pitbull dachhound mix dog. Even took his milkbone treat. Darn thing's luckey to be ALIVE. Go figure.

> 2. Killing Cones (for said Turken): Do most of you use them? I'm setting up the slaughter area and can't decide between a big log for hatchet use or a cone station. I've got some disability issues with my upper body and holding a chicken and wacking it is problematic.
