Re: [CHICKENS-101] ?

Atlas of Avian Disease info.  Like this?  Both legs do not have to be affected and usually it is only one. Please use the single arrow and scroll thru the pictures to see if any match. Often when a bird goes down and both legs are in front it is a b complex issue not mareks. What you described could be mareks or M synovie. Mareks is the more common of the two, and b complex defiicency is the most common of the 3 if lame and or curled toes.

I had a couple chickens that went down on one side of their body head down one leg not useable. They looked partially paralyzed and died fast.I tried Vet Rx,antibiotics.I provided supplemental heat really didn't help.Any ideas on what it could be? If I see it again I would really like to have a treatment plan and the meds ready to treat the bird.....thanks!      So glad I found this list,I really want to learn to doctor my birds.
