So sorry for your saddness, Lori. You sure did everything you could. I never responded, but I read every one of your posts and learned from your experiance. I compleatly understand your tears. I'm Alex's mom (You can see all his delightful pictures in my folder, "Alex, the Man about Town) and I know I will be devistated when he transcends. Alex is not a healthy rooster....has many inheriant weaknesses. So I have my eye on him all the time. I have learned from sad experiance that usually when a bird goes bad, there isn't alot you can do. You were a trouper.
