Re: [CHICKENS-101] Ok, I have an unusual question....

Erin, I don't know what caused the head injury but I'd get him an e capsule and some b complex in his water in him right away. If you do not have either, I'd crush up a children's vitamin, dissolve it in water, add a little sugar and spoon feed it to him in drops.  Where the feathers are missing, I get a little bit of blue kote on it. They could be fighting or a predator got him thru a fence, et...

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Ok, I have an unusual question....

I have in my 'baby' pen 2 Banty's and 2 Golden Sea-brights. They are all same age, and have been raised together since hatch. i got lucky and have a male and female for each breed. They are about 3 months old now.

My odd questions is this.... Up until a few days ago, all was normal, eating, perching at night, drinking, ect, but Over the weekend I found the Banty Cockerel holding its head tilted and walking odd. It appears it is missing some feathers on up ended side of its head as well.....Will the cockerels be fighting already??!! Especially being raised together! Or could something be wrong with the Banty?!?!

I would be grateful for any suggestions, ideas or advice.

Thank you!
Erin
