How to raise Backyard Chickens: Re: Re: [CHICKENS-101] #2

LOL it's a Political struggle right now. Neighbor found someone a bit higher in Animal Control . So they used the excuse that my property "Wasn't wide enough". I was then informed that if I let my dog outside they HAD TO HAVE A DOG HOUSE. O.K. My Dogs come and go as they please, but they need a Doghouse! (there FENCED in)

So I said, "Fine, I'll Butcher everything" (I have no plans to, but who cares?). So this Idiot says, "If I find out you killed the animals, I can charge you with Animal Cruelty, Animal Endangerment, and Killing an animal in city limits, Ignorance of the law is No excuse".

At this point I snapped. I can't say anything about what I said until I talk to an Attorney.

However, a couple hours later, the police came and all of my animals are "Officially Gone", Big house, they cant do anything about the inside :-)

So I learned this.

You CAN have Cows and Chickens in Tulsa if your Property is "Wide Enough".

You can not kill an animal in city limits but you can dress them out. Interesting, you can raise meat animals but you have to take them out of town to kill them.

Oklahomans do not care about the laws as my Variance had cleared me of all this.

I can say this, if they come back they better be ready, I'll play. Even Animal Control said my animals were well taken care of. Yes, people, I know I'll lose, but you will all be talking about it years after I am gone :-)

i missed something i guess. what is going on with an emergency coup and what is wrong? sorry to ask. im confused. i guess its ok to get that way when your in charge of a 4h group and have 6 kids and trying to get stuff together for our home and garden show and i have less than a week to do it and have a meeting to get people involved in it.
